The Thursday club are a social group for adults with a range of physical impairments and learning disabilities who meet every Thursday in the Unitarian Church. They have invited the Liverpool String Orchestra on several occasions to join them and perform concerts for them. These events are one of the highlights of our calendar as the enthusiasm and spontaneous dancing, rousing singing and thunderous applause make for truly memorable evenings. There is often competition for the conductors place as members of the Thursday club are invited to conduct the Orchestra or take part in X factor or Strictly Come Dancing competitions. The video below show the fun (and chaos) of one of these nights but warmth of welcome we receive each time makes it all worthwhile.
